OUR VOLUNTEERS

Atypical Place Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • mentoring our participants

  • preparation of program areas like the Rainbow Garden

  • training and maintaining our farm animals

  • harvesting and distributing farm products

  • outreach to local school classrooms

Volunteering with us provides volunteer hours required to meet community service requirements for high school or college.

Our program activities benefit from the participation of many individuals. We also are priveleged to have volunteers participating from a number of local organizations, including Kiwanis International-Atascadero and its Aktion Club; Paso Robles, Templeton, and Atascadero school districts; Cal Poly Student Community Services, and Cuesta College.

No previous knowledge or training is required to volunteer--only a desire to help others be all they can be.
